Brad Sceney started playing tennis at age 5 in Melbourne, Australia. He has been a world ranked junior in Australia winning the Australian Open Doubles title in 1992 and has had a world ranking in Singles and Doubles since his playing career at Pepperdine University where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree is Sports Management. While at Pepperdine, his team had the highest ranking of 3 in the country and his highest doubles ranking was 1 in the country. To this day, he still holds the record for the most singles wins in Pepperdine history.
Brad has been the Director of Tennis Programs since the Fall of 2014 at Polo Golf and Country Club and more recently White Columns Golf and Country Club. He has been Tournament Director for all levels of tournament play ranging between USTA Juniors, National Adult USTA Tournaments, and a $50,000 Men’s Pro tournament.
Prior to that, he was the Head Men’s Coach at Loyola Marymount University, a Division I College in California, and Director of Tennis at The Paseo Club in Valencia, California.
Brad is USPTA certified. He has taught Juniors of all ages and levels. He has taught high level juniors who have gone on to earn tennis scholarships to Division I, II and III Universities. He has a keen eye for the game and is always striving to “keep it simple” as he maximizes his player’s potential with extreme efficiency.
He has a funny sense of humor, as any Aussie would!!
