Brandon started playing tennis at the age of 3 and has loved it ever since! He played his first USTA 12U tournament at the age of 7 and competed for the next 11 years in the USTA's Southwest Section. Highlights from his last couple years in juniors include being ranked #1 18U in New Mexico, winning the Arizona Junior Open doubles title, finishing 4th in singles at the 18U Southwest Sectional Championship and going 7-1 at the 16U Zonals competition in Salt Lake City, UT (team finished 2nd behind Southern California) while also winning the 16U boys Sportsmanship Award for the entire Zonals competition. During his 2 years playing 18U, Brandon posted wins over players who received Division I scholarships to play at Arizona State, Texas Tech, Wichita St and University of New Mexico.
After graduating high school, Brandon received a half-dozen or so offers to play Division I tennis but decided to work as a youth pastor at a church in Albuquerque, NM instead. He worked in this capacity for 7 years, eventually enrolling in college at the University of New Mexico and graduating from the Anderson School of Management in 2005.
Brandon has been married to his lovely wife Hannah for 23 years. They have 4 children, Conner, Tobias, Ethan and Alivia - ages 20, 18, 16, 14, respectively. Prior to living in the Atlanta area, Brandon and his family lived in Tampa, Fl for 12 years.
While in Florida, he played on several USTA 5.0+ men's teams and 10.0 mixed teams, participated in the prestigious Florida Cup team event and won over a dozen 5.0+ and Open Men's and Mixed Doubles events at various clubs in the Tampa area. Since 2018 he has coached part time at Harbour Island Athletic Club in Tampa as well as Athletic Club Northeast and Crooked Creek in the Atlanta area.
