Katy Sceney has been teaching tennis for the past 17 years and is USPTA certified. She got her start at age 10 joining a neighborhood Junior ALTA team in Marietta and has played ever since. After playing competitively in Texas and then Southern California, Katy earned a Division I tennis scholarship to The University of Portland. She graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

 

Katy, Brad and their 2 girls moved to the Atlanta area in 2013. Katy started out teaching at White Columns Country Club, moved to The Manor Golf and Country Club and then Polo Golf and Country Club. She then became Director of Tennis of Polo Golf and Country Club at the start of 2017.

 

Katy is very excited to be a part of Crooked Creek Tennis. She is married to Brad Sceney and they have 2 daughters, Elle and Isla who both love to play tennis and compete on all Junior teams and USTA tournaments.

 

Katy plans to be involved in all areas of the club from Adult Tennis, Junior Tennis, Social Events and Team match play.
